William Katt
An alumni of more than 4 seasons with the Tony Award winning Southcoast Repertory, William began his career as an actor while studying music theory at Orange Coast College He has worked on stage at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the Center Theatre Group, the Mark Taper Forum as well as Off Broadway at the Phoenix Repertory, the George Street Playhouse, and many prestigious regional theatres including the Cleveland Playhouse among others. He has worked with such luminaries in the theatre as Pulitzer Prize winning author Marsha Norman and tony Award winning director Jack Hofsis. During his career he has shared the stage with Tommy Lee Jones in a production of "Rainmaker" with Tuesday Weld and James Cromwell directed by John Frankenheimer and appeared opposite Diana Weist in "Bonjour La Bonjour" in New York.
This last Fall he had the privilege of being included in a stunning production of "The Education of Randy Newman" at ACT in Seattle. New York credits include a National Tour of Pirates of Penzance with George Rose and a Broadway production and video of "Pippin" directed by Bob Fosse. A veteran actor well know to film and television his starring credits include "Carrie," "Big Wednesday," "First Love," "Butch and Sundance the Early Years," and "House," among others. TV includes "Greatest American Hero," "The New Perry Mason NBC movies," "Top of the Hill," "Models, Inc.," and the mini movie of "Rough Riders" for TNT among others. His directorial credits include "The Clean and Narrow" picked up by HBO and Showtime and "Rachel and Julio" on the professional stage. he has sold three film scripts and hopes to do more directing in the future. |
