ALL THINGS EQUAL
The Life & Trials of Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Written by Tony Award Winning playwright RUPERT HOLMES Starring Michelle Azar as Ruth Bader Ginsburg Directed by Laley Lippard Supreme Court Justice “RBG” welcomes a friend of the family to her cozy chambers to convey, over the course of ninety fascinating and often funny minutes, a sense of her life and its many trials: losing her mother the day before she graduated as valedictorian of her Brooklyn high school ... being one of only nine young women studying law at Harvard while also raising a daughter and helping her husband battle cancer ... fighting for women's rights in the nineteen-seventies before condescending all-male courts ... and taking courageous stands for human rights as a voice of reason amid a splintering and increasingly politicized Supreme Court. An evening with a great and compassionate icon of straight-thinking American justice emerges ... an RBG who is not only “notorious” but victorious as she takes a stand for ordinary people facing the many challenges of a changing world. Bring your scrunchies, your hankies, your humor and your heart to this entertaining and uplifting event!

The actress was so real and skilled that we forgot we were at a play. The script and supplemental material made it even better. And the direction / director must have done an amazing job because it all came together perfectly. Couldn't find a single issue except that the theater seating was cramped. Go see this show! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rating: 5 out of 5 Loved it! by Betts on 3/29/23 • Madison Center for the Arts - Phoenix We enjoyed the show immensely, and we enjoyed the venue. Would highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rating: 5 out of 5 Insightful by A. S. on 3/15/23 • Madison Center for the Arts - Phoenix Excellent one woman show depicting a strong woman's life ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rating: 5 out of 5 RBG One woman show by Desert Dentist on 3/14/23 • Madison Center for the Arts - Phoenix I laughed, I cried and I loved every minute! This show was artfully done as a conversation with an unseen young person in RBG’s chambers. Her story unveiled a long, hard fight for her own and then all women’s rights and also equal rights in spite of gender. Justice Ginsburg was a wise woman who wrote many dissenting opinions while serving on the Supreme Court. My view changed to one of deeper respect for RBG after seeing this presentation. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rating: 5 out of 5 Fantastic Show! by Stacey on 3/14/23• Madison Center for the Arts - Phoenix The actress was fantastic. I’m a big fan of RBG and live theater and Michelle Azar does a stunning job of capturing the character of the late Supreme Court justice. My wife and I laughed, had tears in our eyes, booed and applauded a number of times as Ms. Azar relates the highlights and lowlights of Justice Ginsburg life. If you get a chance to see this brand new, world premiere play don’t pass it up. You will not regret it. |
