*Let's Hear It For The Boy*
*Too Much, Too Little, Too late (W/Johnny Mathis)* *Without Us/Family Ties (W/Johnny Mathis)* *It's Gonna Take A Miracle *Black Butterfly* *Free* *Silly * Just a few of the notable hits from one of the most distinctive voices in pop music. Deniece Williams began her musical journey singing in the church in Gary, Indiana. "Niecy" exploded on the national pop scene touring with Stevie Wonder - but it was duet with the legendary Johnny Mathis "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late" and the monster hit "Let's Hear It For the Boy" that caught the nations heart for this artist who embodied passion and poetry in her silky voice. In addition to the string of hits that carried Deniece to national and international acclaim, she followed the leading and convictions of her heart and recorded 5 gospel albums - "SO GLAD I KNOW", "SPECIAL LOVE", "FROM THE BEGINNING", "THE BEST OF DENIECE WILLIAMS" and "THIS IS MY SONG". Deniece, the mother of 4 sons, has always had a heart for children. Her first children's CD and book entitled "Lullabies to Dreamland", sparked a Sony video project entitled "Child of Mine" featuring Deniece and other celebrity Moms and is aired on television every Mother's Day. Following a successful time of recording and touring, Deniece entered another phase of her career by joining the London production of the musical "MAMA I WANT TO SING"; playing the role of Sister Carrie. After a successful acting debut in London, she took the helm as host of a BBC Radio 2 talk and music show, "The Gospel Train" renamed "The Deniece Williams Show". This program highlights the influences that Gospel music has had on secular/mainstream artist and musicians no matter what their music/genre and is now currently in its seventh year. This also sparked a desire in Deniece's heart to have a radio show here at home. This year she successful launched "The Deniece Williams Show" a weekly gospel talk show on KKLA in Los Angeles and is looking forward to syndication throughout the USA. With a successful recording, acting and radio career under her belt Deniece, through her company Deniece Williams Productions, now has her eyes on writing film, television and theater projects. While reflecting over her life and accomplishments Deniece still maintains that her priorities have always been and forever will be serving God, her family and then her career!
