Lee Meriwether
LEE MERIWETHER

Most know Lee as "Betty" in the highly successful TV series Barnaby Jones, where she co-starred with Buddy Ebsen for eight years.  She played Ruth Martin on the daytime drama All My Children, for two years.

Her noteworthy film roles include:  Andy Griffith's pregnant wife in Angel in my Pocket, Rock Hudson's southern belle wife in The Undefeated, the swimming partner of Namu, the Killer Whale, the man killed by Kim Novak in The Legend of Lylah Clare, and she played CATWOMAN in the original Batman movie.

She most recently appeared on stage with her husband Marshall Borden in Gilligan's Island, the musical, as the millionaire couple, the Holwells and in a national tour of Plaza Suite which he also directed.  They have appeared in numerous plays and musicals together.  Lee also enjoys working with her daughters, Lesley and Kyle.  Both accomplished performers.  Lesley is a stunt woman!  Newest member of the family, Granddaughter Ryan, perhaps will join Mommie Kyle, Auntie Lesley, Poppa Marshall and Nana for the next trodding on the boards!

Lee is an active participant in many humanitarian endeavors and charities. They include Ability First (formerly The Crippled Children's Society), Actors and Others for Animals, The Blind Children's Center, and Women in Show Biz which funds reconstructive surgery for needy children.

Another exciting career aspect is that of actress/reader, performing all the character voices in the audio versions of best selling author John Saul's latest gothic thrillers.
