Lynda Carter appears, by popular demand, in her LA début at the Catalina Club. Under the musical direction of Johnny Harris and accompanied by Michael Orland of "American Idol, An Intimate Evening" with Lynda Carter is "already promising to exceed her record breaking San Francisco premiere," according to press notes. The show will be presented June 22, 23, 24, on Friday and Saturday at 8:30 PM and Sunday at 7:30 PM, at Catalina's Jazz Bar & Grill (6725 Sunset Blvd Hollywood, CA). Carter returns to singing after 20 years with a sold out premiere at The Plush Room in San Francisco, breaking all previous records. Now, by popular demand she extends her tour to include the Catalina Bar & Grill in LA just one week before going recording her new CD. She has had recent TV success in "Smallville" and films such as Dukes of Hazard and Sky High. Her recent stage credits include playing Mama Morton in the West End production of Chicago and the 10th anniversary concert in NY. LYNDA CARTER returns to the concert stage after a sold-out run of CHICAGO in London's West End. Before winning our hearts as Wonder Woman, Lynda was an accomplished singer performing in Las Vegas and clubs around the country. After the series ended, Lynda had the distinction of starring in five of her own network television specials, several of which were Emmy-nominated. She has performed onstage with many of the world's most popular singers, including Tom Jones, Kenny Rogers, Ray Charles and Ben Vereen. Lynda Carter made her professional singing debut at fifteen in Tempe, Arizona. She studied classical dances for seven years in the School Ballet of Phoenix. She also studied chanting and piano, and had her dramatic training with Laura Zucker, Stella Adler, Charles Conrad, Milton Katselas, Lieux Dressler, and Greta and Sandra Seacat. In 1973, she won the Miss World-U.S.A. title and shortly thereafter outdistanced hundreds of other actresses for the part of "Wonder Woman," a character she infused with such depth and humor that it has become one of the most indelible characters in TV history. Lynda has been the recipient of an unprecedented number of honors, including, from the London-based International Academy of Beauty, the title of "The Most Beautiful Woman In The World." She has, in addition, been named one of Mr. Blackwell's "Ten Best Dressed Women In America," Gallup poll's "Ten Most Admired Women In America," one of Helene Curtis' "Ten Best Dressed Women In America," and one of the International Bachelors Association's "Ten Most Exciting Women In The World."
